My Project
This project will focus on providing students the opportunity to discover themselves while also fostering a love for reading. Many of the items in my books will go towards creating a classroom library that the students will be able to access throughout the school year. Many students do not have books at home or do not read on their own, so my emphasis will be on creating an environment where students can get lost in these stories.
Through this project, many students will go from having read 1 book a year (if that) to at least 2-3 books a year.
As the year goes on, the students will use the books they are reading to learn literary analysis and creative writing. Many of my students come from different backgrounds (culturally and educationally) which gives them the opportunity to learn and grow from each other through a mutual love for reading.
