This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As I pull books from our classics section I find publications dates of 1989, 1973, 1971, 1969, 1958, and, believe it or not, 1945. I love these old books. They are beautiful and sturdy and they smell of vanilla. Unfortunately, these volumes are often overlooked by our students as they have been well-loved for decades. They are faded, torn, and stained.

There is a reason that these books remain classics, and with new copies of these timeless stories, I hope to inspire our young students to dive into their pages.
