My Project
In the heart of the fan in Richmond Virginia, lies a classroom filled with eager young minds hungry for knowledge and stories that ignite their imaginations. As an educator in my 8th year of teaching, I have witnessed the transformative power of books in shaping young lives. This is why I am reaching out for support. I know that readers are more eager to read when they have a choice in what they read. Providing my students with a haven of diverse books to peak their interest is what I truly need. In addition I not only aim to fill our classroom bookshelves but to also provide sturdy, inviting bookshelves that will house these literary treasures. By establishing a routine of independent reading, I am able to nurture a lifelong love for learning. My students spend the first 15 minutes of class daily in independent reading, this project will help my students to become eager readers.
