They were able to use quality markers to enhance their designs and create stong and bold arrows that help direct students through different levels in our building. \r\n\r\nThe next step for this specific project is to install the arrows. Additionally, our students will be able to use these markers for future projects this school year. With these new resources, my students are able to practice reading skills in engaging, hands-on ways that meet them at their individual levels. We use the materials during small-group instruction and independent practice, giving students more opportunities to build confidence while strengthening their reading skills.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were excited to explore them. They were especially eager to begin using the new books and activities, and I loved seeing their curiosity turn into motivation to read and learn.\r\n\r\nOne special moment has been watching students who once hesitated to read aloud become more willing to take risks. During our small-group literacy lessons, students are practicing decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension while celebrating their progress along the way. Their confidence is growing as they realize that they can be successful readers.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue building on these skills through guided reading and targeted literacy activities. Students will keep practicing the strategies they have learned and applying them to new texts.
