My Students

I am so blessed to be able to teach 52 ELL students in our building! I teach from newcomers to progressing ELL students. With starting the school year virtual, my goal is to give every student 1 or 2 books that is theirs at home to encourage reading!

A pandemic will not slow down our learning and fun!

My students bring me so much joy each and every day; I love learning about their language, culture, holidays and more.

I have learned so much from my students. I only hope that my students have learned so much from me as well! As we transition into virtual and hybrid models available for my students, I want to make sure I can have the resources I need to still be able to read, write and model for them!

My Project

This is my 3rd round of books for my students. This last one is for my 4th and 5th graders (while my other projects targeted K-3). My goal this year during this crazy school year was to build the at home libraries for each of my students. With school being fully virtually for 9 total weeks so far, I have made trips to students homes delivering books, letter packs, activities and desks made by another teacher.

I want my students to have a library of books at their home that they enjoy and can free read daily.

With not being in school this year, my students (ELL) do not have the access to the school library and classroom libraries at school. This project gives each of my ELL students 2 or 3 books of their own....and even better they are brand new!

The smiles on my student's faces when I deliver is something I will never forget. So thank you to anyone who looks at this project and donates! You are making a big difference in the lives of students, and my ELL students!
