it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I’m building a classroom library that truly reflects my students and their identities, their interests, and their reading levels. I want to give them access to books they actually want to read: graphic novels, realistic fiction, nonfiction, and stories by diverse authors that show different perspectives and experiences. With your help, I can fill our shelves with books that make reading feel exciting, not like a chore.
These books will help my students grow as readers, but more importantly, they’ll help them see themselves in the pages and learn about others in the process.
I want them to build confidence, curiosity, and empathy through the stories they read. My goal is to turn reading into something they look forward to every day, something that sticks with them long after they leave my classroom.
My students are amazing. This library is for them, a space where they feel seen, inspired, and excited to learn.
