My Students

I teach in a wonderful system for wonderful students at a Title I school. My students come from all different walks of life and each class has its own unique personality. My students keep me striving to become a better teacher, as they are always questioning topics covered in new ways or new scenarios.

Students are, at the least, paired daily; causing them to get to know each other on an academic level (and at times socially).

I love hearing their thought processes as they gain an understanding of the content. What continually amazes me is that, without realizing what is happening, the students push aside each other's backgrounds and personal traits for at least a class period to come together in creating their academic world. I may be a little biased, but I truly have the best students!

My Project

Our class grows in number; however not is size. Most of my classes range from 27 to 30 students and our space is limited. It has always been my mission to have supplies on hand for when students need them; however, the cart storage I have now is overflowing and placed in areas where they will fit around the classroom. The supplies truly need organization for students to have better access and a main storage location. I know this may sound trivial, but in a classroom with up to 30 students with 55 minute classes, having this resource would save time and hassle.
