As supporters of lifelong learning, our preschool and pre-kindergarten staff serve three- to five-year-old children on the west side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Many of our families live in poverty and 59% of our children receive special education services. Our children come from a variety of incomes, cultures, family units, and have special needs. As our children return to in-person education, they need supplies that fit their bodies and help them to manage their processions.
My Project
Three, four and five year olds need preschool sized backpacks. We strive to make early learning fun so they are excited to come to school. Their backpacks need to be their size so they don't have to struggle to be able to keep their important papers and parental information organized.
Our preschoolers struggle to carry their huge backpacks on their short bodies.
They need smaller backpacks to carry home their art creations, papers to show what they are learning and important papers with information for their parents. Your donations will help us provide backpacks for our small students.
