My students are creative and love to learn! They love hands-on, interactive, engaging projects. Learning new things about the world around them is something that is so important for this group of students!
Because my school is a Title 1 building, my students' diversity of experience is limited.
I try to bring technology and real-world applications to them whenever possible. Each of my students has different skills, experiences, and background knowledge about every topic we cover. Because of this, I try to meet each student at his or her level.
My Project
My class needs access to Dot and Ozobot robots to help facilitate 21st century learning. With these resources, each student will learn to code and use robotics. These skills are becoming increasingly important as my students progress toward a technological job market.
These robots will foster students' STEM knowledge and problem-solving skills.
My hope for my class is to also interest more female students in the male-dominated world of STEM , though I am thrilled that ALL students will receive learning opportunities with this technology.
Additionally, this will incorporate hands-on learning opportunities and encourage cooperative learning among students of differing abilities.
