Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very special because they are children that do not experience different types of STEM programs or makerspace. My students consist of Title I students from diverse backgrounds that have been affected by Hurricane Harvey. The students enjoy school and they love our library atmosphere. They view our school as a family. My students need 3 Ozobot robot starter kits with tablets to help them learn how to code!
I teach around 417 wonderful K-5th grade students that where effected by Hurricane Harvey.
As a Title I school, a large majority of my students are living in poverty. I have quite a few students that are gifted and talented, but also we have students with learning and physical difficulties. We have a lot of socioeconomic challenges to overcome in order to help our students reach their highest potential and prepare them for the future.
Our students' future depends on adequate access to technology in order to equip them with the skills that the world now demands.
