Help me give my students a clean carpet to learn, play, and grow.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. McCray's classroom raised $562

My Students
My students are 5 to 6 years old. They come from a small, rural, close-knit community. Some of them will gain their first social setting experience with other children within my classroom. My students are inquisitive, thoughtful, and full of creativity. They enjoy hands-on activities, as well as challenges that push them and get them thinking outside of the box. They love reading and learning new things everyday.
I strongly believe that students should be active participants in their education.
Students are offered choices in their education as often as possible in my classroom. Some students face challenges everyday that we work through, in order to help them grow both personally and academically.
My Project
I am a first year kindergarten teacher. this Title one school is the same school I went to elementary school at. Our school just received tile floors. To prevent the students from sitting on the hard tile or having to sit in chairs all day, we are in need of a new classroom rug. We will use this rug multiple times a day. We will meet on the carpet to start and end each and every day.
This rug will allow students to have a clean, comfortable space where we can gather as a class and develop academically and personally.
Students will come to the carpet for class meetings, whole class instruction, and more.
This new carpet will allow students a safe and clean place to interact with peers, technology, and build the necessary foundation to learn, play, and grow.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
