My Students
Have you ever dissected an owl pellet? It is the food that an owl regurgitates. When you dissect it, you could find the remains of a mouse or a bird. I would like my students to have this awesome experience! I teach fourth grade math and science in Lake County Florida.
All of my students are eager to do hands-on activities, and in this small rural community these children have had little experience with science.
They are very inquisitive, especially my special educations group and my ESOL students. My children love learning and they love science!
My Project
My goal is to use the owl pellets to teach my students more about nature and how we play an important part about being good stewards to the environment. The students will learn about owls, their habitats, and what they eat. Then, we will dissect the owl pellets. This is an awesome activity! Students will see how critical the food chain is and this will be a lesson they will remember always. I hope some of my students will be encouraged to learn more about animals and their habitats.
Dear sponsors, with your donation, and the help of other generous friends, I hope that my students will have this experience in science.
My students work very hard to learn difficult fourth and fifth grade concepts in science. Your support will make a big difference in their lives!
