My Project
Students with special needs were terribly impacted by virtual learning during covid-19. Many have a hard time sitting still, completing seat work, and listening in a traditional classroom model. Like any teacher, I do love it when students are actively engaged in their learning.
Can you imagine how much fun they will having fishing for sight words?
This project started with alternative seating options and turned into a project to meet all the multi-sensory learning needs of my students with special needs. The items include posters to help them persevere in their learning, seating options to feel safe and comfortable as they learn, games for math, stamps for making words, flip books for reading and writing sentences, and many sensory items for regulation, calming, and focus. These students have very unique learning needs. With your help, we will help them reach their goals.
