Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is a Title I-funded school. Many among our population are socioeconomically disadvantaged. In addition, for many students in our school, English is not their first language. More than half of our incoming 9th-grade students are entering or emerging-level newcomers to this country. They are learning English for the very first time while learning to adapt to their new school, their new country, and a new culture.

I am requesting 2 portable translator devices to use in my classroom to support my English Language Learners to succeed in the classroom.

They will provide my students with a level of accessibility and support that will enhance their education and set them up for success in the future. This will help them become confident and successful communicators, both in the classroom and beyond. By donating to our ELL group you will be contributing to the Equity education that all students need to succeed.
