This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For the next school year, 2025-2026, I would like the students to start the school year with a portfolio in which they will keep work that they are proud of. They will also reflect on why they chose the piece to put into their portfolios. These portfolios will be shared with parents at Parent Teacher Conferences. This project will hold the students accountable for the work they complete at school. I teach in a high poverty school district, so purchasing a binder may be too expensive for them. Next year we were told that we may have as many as 28 students in each class.
