I work at a fabulous school located in Chesapeake, Va. It is a Title I school that offers students the ability to get ahead of their peers. My students are growing and learning just like I am as a teacher. We are a great team that is focused on what makes learning fun. My students are a gift each year and that's what makes school exciting! Giving the children all that they need is so important to their development. The resources that I'm asking for will further their education and experiences.
My Project
Duct tape, scotch tape, rugs, and balls seem like an odd mixture, but they are necessary in a primary classroom. I use these items every single day.
The Duck brand duct tape is a necessary evil.
It's the only thing that will hold student/teacher work on the walls and it is expensive if you are constantly paying for it. Whether I am hanging student work on the walls in the hallway or throughout the classroom, I will need duct tape on a daily/weekly basis.
The Scotch heavy duty shipping packaging tape is necessary to cover students names on their desks, the floor, and various other places that their name will be displayed. It helps to protect their name throughout the year and preserves what is being covered.
The AppleRound sports balls and Wilson traditional soccer ball will be used on the playground during recess. I am starting from scratch at a new school, so I will need the balls for recess. Every child needs different things to play/do on the playground. The balls will help with this.
The Sytian large size 4 Feet X 5 Feet rug will be used in my library. I have a teepee that will be set up as a reading nook. It is a soft area where my students will be able to go while reading. I have also bought a lamp to go inside the teepee.
