Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a classroom of 12 special needs children - most of my kiddos have autism. They are bright, beautiful, and curious to learn. Each and every one of my students have individual needs that vary from learning how to use basic daily skills, social emotional needs, and academic needs.
We are ready to return to the classroom after COIVD distance learning, so we need to plan for the new year.
My Project
We have seen a great interest with our students who want to explore and play with sand material. We don't have much to work with outside during yard time, so it would be nice to see them have a proper sandbox and sand equipment to play with. This will also be shared with the general ed preschool and kindergarten classes. We are also in need of some comfy seating areas in our classroom, calm down location. Two of the items on this request will add cozy seating to our library and tent area.
