My students need a couple of Amazon Basics canopies for shade where we need artificial grass to cover an area where a tree was removed so we can construct with Edushape Big Wood-like Blocks.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Transitional Kindergarteners (4-5 year olds) and Kindergarteners (5-6 year olds) are filled with energy. Many of them live in apartments with very little space to play and explore outside. Some of them are only children in their families and they need more time to interact with peers.
Coming to school provides many of them an opportunity to work and play with their peers and to spend some time just being kids. They love to build and play outside and look forward to that time everyday.
My Project
My Transitional Kindergarten students are very energetic. Playing on the playground is one of their favorite times of the school day. They love playing and creating with a variety of toys.
Being protected by a canopy and having an indoor/outdoor rug to play on will make the time spent playing on the playground an even more pleasant experience for my students.
Building with EduSoft foam blocks would be wonderful for my students because they can experiment with building without getting hurt by falling blocks. Having an outlet for their creativity and opportunity to work together will help them grow as students and as citizens.
