Outdoor Technological Classroom Experience for Physical Education

Help me give my students an technological outdoor classroom experience of a lifetime. This would give us an opportunity to convey important standards and information through technology without being inside a classroom. This will be a game changer!

My Project

I feel truly blessed to be at my school site. However we are growing in numbers, students and teachers, which has made it difficult to get an indoor space to give lectures, watch media, and have thoughtful discussions with the diverse population of students I get to teach on a daily basis. However we do have some great outdoor spaces where students could engage in critical thinking, data analysis, and collaboration with peers but I am not able to reach any source of electricity or power.

My intention is to create an mobile outdoor classroom using a portable battery pack that will charged by solar power.

Also this would allow for other staff, instructional aides, or guest educational proctors to use the remaining indoor spaces. Being a STEAM school, this outdoor classroom could be example of sustainability, ingenuity and the use of natural resources. I also for see using this as a visual aide to allow for more accessibility to my DHH and SPED students.
