Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love to learn as much outside the classroom as they do inside. The philosophy of our school is to engage the head, hands and heart. In order to do this, we promote wilderness education and outdoor play as a means of learning by doing.

The children learn how to interact with each other and expend their energy in a positive way by spending plenty of time outside and in nature.

My Project

Elementary age students have a lot of energy and require frequent outdoor breaks to expend that energy so they can focus on academic learning in the classroom.

This project will fund fun and interactive outdoor equipment for my students to use during recess and physical education time so they can build their hand/eye coordination skills and learn to work together on interactive outdoor games.

The outdoor equipment will help the students find productive ways to channel their physical energy while improve their team building skills so that they can focus better on their projects when they return to the classroom.
