This year we were lucky enough to receive a grant from the Blue Watermelon project. Every other month we will receive a bag of locally grown produce, paired with a nutritious recipe to complete as a class. We will also have the opportunity to have a professional chef come into our classroom to complete a recipe with us.
The grant is dependent on us having a garden to grow the produce we are learning about.
Unfortunately, the garden bed we planned on using is no longer available. By donating to my project, not only are you giving my students the opportunity to step outside of the classroom for learning, but you are also giving us the chance to participate in the Blue Watermelon project.
