This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Project Purpose:

I want to transform our recess time into a meaningful extension of learning by providing materials that promote physical activity, teamwork, creativity, and sensory regulation.

These tools will allow students to explore, move, and connect in ways that support both their academic and social-emotional growth.

What’s in the cart and how it helps:

Bluetooth Speaker – Music boosts mood and helps create structured movement breaks and group games that enhance listening skills, rhythm, and classroom community—even outdoors.

Hula Hoops – More than just fun! They support coordination, balance, and spatial awareness—skills that translate to better focus and control in the classroom.

Toss and Catch Game – Encourages teamwork, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor development. These games also build confidence and communication between students.

Lakeshore Outdoor Classroom Cart with Cover – Keeps everything organized and protected so we can use these tools regularly. It supports seamless transitions between learning and play, making outdoor experiences purposeful and easy to manage.

Why it matters:

Recess is more than a break—it’s a vital part of how kids learn. With these materials, students will build critical skills like cooperation, self-regulation, and focus, all while staying active and engaged. This project gives them the tools to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
