This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I would like to create an outdoor learning space for my students. The portable and easy setup tents will allow me to set up this learning space anywhere on school campus.
Research has shown that outdoor learning can greatly benefit students' mental health and academic performance.
Students are often calmer and more focused when learning in nature. Teachers have reported better behavior and social interactions with fewer disciplinary issues as students can be more engaged with an open learning space.
This project will continue to support a previous funded project for outdoor learning benches.
