This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As we prepare for warmer days and get ready to introduce our outdoor learning centers, we reflect on the items needed. My students need shade. Our yard is in the direct sun which makes our yard very unpleasant and unsafe. We are forced to limit outdoor exploration and time connecting with nature.

Help me create a learning environment where students have daily, safe access and combat nature deficit disorder building future environmental stewards.

These umbrellas will protect my students from the sun as they explore and create in their outdoor learning spaces. My students are early learners with an abundance of curiosity, and an intrinsic need to explore the outdoors.
