Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have two fantastic fifth grade classes that consist of students who are regular education, special education, and English as a second language. My students are in a low income area of the city, where many students do not have the basic needs.

My students need outdoor activities to play at recess, so they can socialize in a positive way and make new connections.

Our recess yard is vacant. Having jump ropes and Jacks will give my students an opportunity to have a safe and fun recess break that will also teach social skills.

Lacking basic needs, outdoor activities at home are not even an option for them. These toys will provide new fun and exciting options at recess each day.
