Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I teach middle school Social Studies in a Title One school. I have the most wonderful students who would love a chance to go out to the fresh air and give their brains a break. Exercise is so important in this video game era. Students tend to stay inside more these days and it is a sad trend.

The students in my school would love to have some outdoor equipment, such as footballs and a cornhole set, that regular classroom teachers can use!

Students can enjoy the occasional brain break while taking in fresh air and exercising. Going outside for even just 20 minutes refreshes my students and energizes them.

Please consider helping my middle schoolers.

Mrs. Knowles will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by July 11.
