Outdoor Classroom

Help me give my students waterproof blankets and clipboards to be able to access an outdoor classroom!

My Project

Our school has an incredible garden where the students get to learn all about the plants growing in it, including healthy food choices. We are in the process of getting an outdoor classroom up and running as well.

Research has shown that outdoor learning can have huge benefits on student mental health and academic performance.

Students are often calmer and can focus more when learning in nature, and teachers have reported better behavior and social interactions with fewer disciplinary issues when their students are outside.

On nice days, I would love to get the students out of the regular classroom and out into the fresh air to soak up some sun and learn in a fun and relaxing environment. Having waterproof blankets for them to sit/lay on and clipboards to be able to use to complete work would be a huge help. The rolling cart and large tote would allow me to carry the supplies back and forth with ease. I would love to be able to provide this opportunity for my students.
