Help me give my students supplies for taking our learning outdoors! We need clipboards and extra writing materials, organized and ready to go. We will use a large picnic blanket and a portable white board.
This project will allow our classroom to have easy-to-transit materials for bringing our learning outside. When we utilize an outdoor classroom, students enjoy the benefits of a direct connection with nature and fresh air while engaging with curriculum in a hands-on way. This project includes clip boards and pencil cases for organizing second sets of supplies, picnic blankets for flexible seating, bug catchers with magnify glasses to study what we see, and a portable Bluetooth speaker to utilize songs in our learning and keep our transition routines consistent between our indoor and outdoor classrooms.
Research suggests that students with a wide variety of different learning styles and behavior tendencies benefit from outdoor learning environments, and I have observed this as well.
Students who may struggle to learn in a traditional classroom often thrive outside. Please help me acquire supplies to get outside, and allow my class to experience the benefits of learning outdoors.
