Outdoor and Indoor Recess Needs

Help me give my students and the other second grade class at my school some exciting indoor and outdoor recess games (Lincoln Logs, sports equipment, board games, art games, etc) and storage for the items!

My Students

My second-grade students are full of energy, creative, and love learning. They need new games for indoor recess and relationship building activities and new equipment for outdoor recess. I have 19 students this school year. Every student is unique and special. They also enjoy playing, cooperative games, singing, art, dancing, and working together to learn. We are one of two second grade classes at our school.

My awesome students are loving, bright, kind, and strive to make their teacher happy.

With the weather becoming colder, and indoor recess becoming more and more likely, my students need more indoor recess games to provide entertainment and build relationships with one another through play! They also need more outdoor equipment as we have been sharing two old basketballs with another class for a couple years that were purchased by myself.

My Project

These materials will allow my students to learn through play during indoor and outdoor recess. Students will learn cooperative skills when sharing these materials, toys, and games. Students will get a physical and mental break with these supplies.

Recess and brain breaks are vital in the learning process.

Students will return more focused and ready to learn.

The storage units and pieces are also very important, so the learning environment will remain uncluttered after unstructured play. Students will learn responsibility by helping to put the brand new recess equipment and games away when recess is over and structured lessons begin.
