This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Eager, energetic, enchanting... words that describe my students! The 10 and 11 year olds in my class have a curiosity and desire to learn about the world around them.
These students have so much spirit and bring joy to our learning community.
Our school is a Title I school and students in my class don't always have the academic tools needed to support their learning.
As their teacher, I want to bring them experiences and learning materials that meet their diverse and naturally inquisitive personalities.
My Project
This EiE kit will give my students an unforgettable learning experience. They will apply 21st century skills and the engineering design process to work in teams to solve the pandemic outbreak problem.
My students get to be engineers, solving problems, and this project will allow them to practice collaboration, solutions-based thinking, empathy, and have fun!
By donating to this project, you will inspire the next generation of problem solvers and engineers.
This STEM opportunity will also reinforce one of our novels studies and social studies lesson with the 1793 Yellow Fever outbreak. Mt students love blended content learning, when math, science, and social studies combine. This kit will give them that opportunity!
