This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 5th grade students come from wonderful families that work several jobs to provide shelter, food, and safety. The kids come to school every day aware that statistics prove the odds are against them, but knowing that their teachers and school community will do anything to give them a fighting chance to succeed. They are loving, hard-working, determined, creative, and enthusiastic. They have the biggest hearts, most curious minds, and abilities that are parallel to none. They deserve the world!

My Project

Our librarian is an amazing human being that spends a majority of her day tweeting and reaching out to famous authors, illustrators, and schools from other countries trying to expose our economically challenged students with worldly opportunities to learn and grow. In the past, when we are able to connect with someone, we spend most of our connection time trying to make sure the small computer camera and microphone are capturing our excitement and questions. These two Adesso CyberTrack wireless webcams will bring clear vision and sound to our worldly connections. We will be able to place them in a fashion that will capture all students at once instead of one at a time.
