My Students

I teach third-grade science and math. I don't want to lecture and use worksheets. I want my students to engage in meaningful, hands-on projects and experiments. My students are very curious and always asking questions. I want to keep that natural inquisitive instinct alive.

I am a lifelong learner, always ready for my next professional development.

The more I know, the more I can teach to my students. I teach with passion and lead with love. I strive to inspire my students to find their passion.

My Project

Attending the Space Exploration Educator's Conference conference will allow me many opportunities to grow as an educator. I will be able to further my own personal knowledge about space, space history, and current events in space. I will also be able to get new ideas on how to integrate and teach space, robotics, and all aspects of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math). This project will help cover the cost of registration and transportation.

I will be able to share what I learn with my teammates, my 36 personal third-grade students, the other 54 third grade students, and another 400 students from my school that will attend "Space Night."

Every year, I plan and organize "Space Night" at my school for all students and their families to attend. Other teachers at my school volunteer to hold hands-on workshops for Space Night, but I provide them with the ideas. SEEC is a great place to get new ideas for workshops!
