Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. We are a rural school, Title I, with about a third from Hispanic heritage. My students attend a Dual Immersion Spanish/English school. They spend half their day learning Spanish and the other half learning English.

Many of our students come from low-income homes where they have limited resources; because we live in a rural area, our school has limited resources for completing assignments and supplies.

My students engage and do their best to improve and enhance their abilities to learn new concepts and perform at their best for teachers and for their parents. They are my pride and joy, and I am so proud of them.

My Project

We are a school that is low income and has limited recourses. We need a charging station for our tablets because we currently must take turns charging our tablets. Sometimes we cannot use them all at once.

With the new charging station, we could all be charged100%.

Ensuring that students have the visuals and hand-on tools they are required to have will help encourage learning and enhance their knowledge.

The magnetic fractions will help students have more hands-on activities during our science projects. Our science core has gravity, and we have no equipment for this topic; kids would love these manipulative and visuals in science. Using this on our board and helping them create their roller coaster using gravity to see where we can get to will be such a fun adventure for them!

We can't forget about our wigglers, as we have kids who have ADD or ADHD and can't hold still. I believe these balls will help them bounce and focus.
