This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My philosophy for teaching is "All Children Can Learn!" Each child will learn at their own rate, but the learning will occur. Children need to be given every opportunity to succeed! Each child has many different learning styles and to be successful, those learning styles need to be targeted in the classroom. In addition, learning needs to be fun!
In my classroom I use different methods of teaching content.
We dance, sing, act out, to emphasize learning. Our classroom is designed where active learning occurs. My students are constantly out of their seats to move freely throughout the classroom.
We are a Title 1 school in what is considered a low income area. The children at our school come to learn while others come to be loved.
My Project
I am asking for an ink cartridge. We are a Title 1 school and do not have enough funds to purchase the ink. My students will be able to print their writing masterpieces.
Throughout the school year, my students write and type their own writing.
Once published, I create displays in our hallways to show my students' writing. We write poems, narratives, procedural, expository, letters, etc. In the end, we have a published product for teachers, students, parents, visitors to see displayed in the hallways.
My students feel proud taking ownership of their writing for all to enjoy!
