This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My middle & high school students represent many beautiful cultures, and our curriculum & resources don't always let them shine through.

My students deserve art class, specifically, projects that allow their culture and talents to shine.

This will be our fourth annual mural.

This project will enable students to create a beautiful mural highlighting aspects of their culture in our local community.

A lack of budget won't stop us from expressing ourselves through art! We are lucky to have a district food pantry allowing us to paint a beautiful mural on their shopping space and truck. This project will provide a meaningful opportunity for students to enjoy art while giving back to their community.

No matter the language my students speak, they all share a love of art and they will be so excited & proud to complete this project!
