Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our fifth grade scholars have been traveling to all 195 countries throughout their fifth-grade year. They will represent one country as a Global Ambassador. This final creative research project will challenge students to focus on a human rights issue and develop a project about how they would create a macro, mezzo, and micro solutions for the millions of young people who live their lives in that community.

Each student will create a research tri-fold that will delve into the historical and cultural reasons that constituents face human rights violations and create a public service announcement about a program or initiative to empower children to raise their voices and advocate for change.

All the materials included such Flipside White Foam Project Board and journals will support our ambassadors in designing a research project to showcase to peers, families, and community members the importance of literacy, advocacy & empowerment in the lives of young people.
