My Project
This is a Youth Participatory Action Research project that allows students to combine research and action. Help me give my students button makers to create buttons to raise awareness about safety concerns at our school. My students are learning about what it means to be an activist. As a way to bring attention to broken water fountains and no hot water in the bathroom students decided to create social justice buttons.
Students will create social justice buttons to call out needed repairs in our school that create health and safety concerns for students and staff.
The buttons will be given to all 400 middle school students, teachers and community members to wear on a day of solidarity.
