My Students
The 2018-2019 students in my classroom are hard-working and motivated. They are always ready to take on the next task or mission. They fight their own battles each day, and I would like to win one of those battles for them.
These 5th and 6th grade students are working hard and hitting the books!
They will be completing many reading tasks over the school year, from running their own book clubs to running major fundraisers to support the real life characters they will read about.
Help me provide the best possible environment for their reading adventures!
My Project
Providing a reading center within the classroom will promote reading, allow for independent learning to occur, and give optimism and confidence to over 100 students. With your help, we will be able to purchase beans bags to create an environment that will get kids excited to read, provide a comfortable learning environment, allow for group work and project based learning.
The positive affects of reading have been proven.
The more reading that occurs, the more confidence students gain, as humans and scholars. A reading station within the classroom, consisting of a bean bag seating area, will provide opportunity, and sometimes, opportunities are all a kid needs.
