Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
On the west side of Long Beach, a magnificent little school is nestled next to a park. At this school, there is a multiage program spanning grades K-8. I have the pleasure of teaching fourth-grade multiage math and science.
My students cultivate their creativity, independence, and critical thinking skills while at school.
I work hard to make math and science meaningful and exciting for them, and I love their sense of wonder and enthusiasm. My students deserve to have a rich math and science education.
My Project
An Ergotron LearnFit Sit-Stand Desk would allow me to be able to move from room to room while we teach in socially distanced classrooms. I team teach and have two sets of students so it will be imperative for me to be able to be move quickly and effortlessly with my laptop and materials during the school day.
I want to start this very different looking school year with the classroom equipment I need to be fully mobile to teach all my students no matter where there are socially distanced across the school site.
Being mobile and having the ability to quickly take my devices and materials from room to room is essential for my students, my partner teacher and I. COVID-19 has presented many challenges so far, but with an Ergotron desk, I will not be tied down and my students' learning will continue with their teacher on wheels!
