My Students
Our students and community are nothing short of amazing. Their eagerness to learn and support others is remarkable. Students and families are eager to learn, grow and support our community and world each and every day! They are inquisitive, talented, and love to explore new ideas.
Our school opened in July.
We are currently applying to be an International Baccalaureate (IB) school focused on project based learning and community service. Our administration, staff, students, and community support our efforts to provide a school atmosphere focused on meeting our students' academic and emotional needs. We strive to make learning a fun, engaging experience for all of our students. We take the time to figure out what each student needs to be their best because all people big and small have special needs.
By integrating exciting and inquiry based learning into our everyday learning we are able, as a school, not only able to engage our students but to inspire a new generation of dreamers, thinkers, and changers.
In just the few months that our school has been open, our amazing students and families have already participated in numerous fundraising activities to support the at-risk, homeless and fire victims.
My Project
We are very fortunate at our new school site. With substantial community support, we had a very large DonorsChoose.org project funded, and we will be building a school garden to teach and explore organic gardening with our students, staff and community. We are thrilled to be able to create a garden to share with our community. Students will plant seeds and seedlings, explore composting, and care for the garden and harvest the fresh goodies.
Not only will students explore with inquiry based learning in the garden, but they will also learn about nutrition, organic farming and organic fertilization.
Our students will share their harvested goods with fellow students, their families and local food banks.
