My Project
My students continue to push me to be a better teacher and artist. Through my time with them over the past 4 years, they have continued to express so much joy, affection, and appreciation towards the visual arts. We have grown together through different projects and activities over the years, and having a space to fully dedicate to their artistic development would make such an impact on the years moving forward. Using these easels, students can work in partners during visual art lessons at stations that let them fully engage in their own creative process. Being a dedicated center in the room, the easels will surely be something students get excited to hear about when prepping our daily routines.
The second set of items that I would like to be able to use with my students are water-based spray paints.
The water based spray paint will be used in printmaking projects, outdoor landscape paintings, stencil work, and possibly more. Spray paint is a medium that excites my students when discussing art we see around us in the world. Being able to use spray paint in a way that both educates on its' cultural impact and how to use it safely will be an extremely enriching experience for my students.
