My Project
Our school is a place where students grow through collaboration, problem-solving, and critical thinking. These skills are incorporated across content areas including Physical Education where our middle school students learn the health-related benefits of regular physical activity as well as learn to engage productively with their peers. The equipment included in this project (basketballs, volleyballs, soccer balls, Slammo game, disc golf, flag football, baseballs, cones) will help our expanding middle school program to engage students in wide variety of sports and activities with the goal of finding something that each individual student can enjoy and take with them to become a part of their own physically active lifestyle. For our students to realize the full potential of the intellectual capabilities, their minds must be supported with healthy bodies. The research backs the importance of the mind/body connection and we are looking for community partners who support this mission as well!
