Help me give my students exposure to materials that are good for the environment and help them learn how to give back to our Earth as we celebrate Earth Day!
Please help me purchase several items to help my 3rd graders learn about our environment. I not only want them to learn through books and articles, but when they see and touch materials that were made from recycled products, it allows them to see things differently. When they can actually touch them and make things that give back to the Earth and our environment, it allows learning to come to life!

I love this quote because we always spend time in the classroom talking about how important it is to embrace our differences. However, we all do have things in common and one of the most important ones is Mother Earth!
First and foremost, every year I talk with my class about the importance of recycling, however, that is hard to do when do don't have a recycling bin in our classroom. This year, I would love to bring that to life. It makes it more meaningful when we actually have one that our class could use instead of just talking about it. Also, I am requesting several ecofriendly materials for students to use and see that there isn't much difference in the feel of items that were made with recycled materials. For example, recycled pencils and pens, and ecofriendly stickers. In addition to that, I am requesting planter nursery pots and flowers, so we can do a mini project and give back to our Earth by planting plants in them. Plants clean the air and provide homes for man animals, such as bees and butterflies.
