My students need their own copies of math, reading, and writing activities. The case of paper, printer and ink will allow me to be able to provide each student with their own copy of materials.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We provide over 1,000 students with an education every year. Most of the student population is of Hispanic background, but there are also students with Asian, African American, Middle Eastern and Caucasian backgrounds. About 90% of students are eligible for free or reduced lunch.
However, the lack of resources and the large population does not hide the curiosity of my 6th graders to continue their learning process.
Every day they come into the classroom highly motivated and intrigued to learn. They come from amazing and loving families that support them to receive the best education that as children they may not have received. I am sure that with their motivation, additional supports and resources, these outstanding 6th graders will reach their highest potential.
My Project
By having paper and ink, my students will be provided with their own copies of materials for Math and ELA. For Math and ELA we do centers twice a week. Each of these centers have different activities and each student needs a copy of the activity to take home and finish for homework.
Some of the centers include graphic organizers to help our diverse learners organize their ideas.By having their own copies of materials, they will be able to use graphic organizers to better understand and apply concepts covered in class.
If students have to copy down everything due to lack of copies, it wastes a lot of our learning time throughout the day. Help us be able to print materials and better use all of our learning time by providing a quality color printer, ink, and paper.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
