Help me give my students fully stocked pencil pouches that can be easily stored and cleaned. These pencil pouches will include dry erase markers and erasers, highlighters, and pencil erasers to start the year!
Who says school can't be fun? In my class, I strive to make learning engaging and new for my students each day. My students use a variety of materials and resources to help ensure that they are successful.
My class is filled with adorable second graders with a passion for learning and a love for school.
My students come to school ready to learn and often times don't want to leave. My school is a Title I school in West Virginia with limited resources. We have a high percentage of students who receive free or reduced-price lunch.
My students have a special place in my heart and I cannot imagine teaching anywhere else. They want to succeed. They want to please and they want to learn. They just need the means and someone to root for them to know that they can do anything. It is the best feeling in the world, seeing their eyes light up when they finally get something that they have been struggling with.
In our area, schools next year are going to have to be a mixture of virtual learning as well as in the classroom due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
My Project
Although there is a lot that we don't know about how next year will look, one piece of information I do know is that each child will need to use only their own learning/craft materials. This will mean a huge change to how classrooms looked when we had shared spaces and materials.
This project will provide all of my students with their own fully stocked pencil pouch that will be easy to use, store, and clean, as well as take some pressure off of parents financially who are already trying to adjust to new circumstances due to Covid-19.
The pencil pouches will be stocked with dry erase markers and erasers, highlighters, and pencil erasers along with materials I currently have.
It would mean so much to me to be able to share with my future families that I am doing all that I can to maintain a safe and organized classroom that they can feel comfortable sending their children to my classroom.
