Hi! I have been teaching second grade for almost 20 years. All through the day my 33 students and I sit on our rug that is in the middle of our room. Our problem... the rug is very old and extremely dirty. As you can imagine, one rug 7 years 33 students per year = a very dirty carpet. (Yes, it has been steam cleaned, but that only goes so far.) The rug that we are asking for will not only brighten our environment, but teach as well! It has beautiful colors, letters, numbers and games! (Checkers, chess and tick-tack-toe!) So, generous donor, we ask you to help us maintain our colorful, family centered meeting area. Because we sit on our rug often (reading groups, center time, math games, reading buddies etc.) A new ,clean, bright rug would really bring happiness to my 33 lovely seven year olds. Thank you for reading our proposal.
