Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school is in a low income, Title I-funded area. Many of my students do not have many, if any, books of their own at home. I try to provide a variety of books at varying interests to make my kids excited to read.

Our current book baskets are insufficient, mismatched, and incompatible to our needs.

I want to provide my class with enough baskets that will fulfill what we need for the amount of books I like to have.

Too many of our books have no home and are, sadly, placed in piles or are overstuffed where they do not fit, therefore get bent and ruined.
