Our Learning Saltwater Tank

Help me give my students in Oceanography a saltwater tank for our classroom. We are a title 1 school in the center of urban Norfolk, Virginia. I have asked for the essentials, salt, filter, tubing, testing supplies.

My Project

I want my students to be able to see the living aspect of the ocean. The ability to visualize in real time the ocean and its composition is invaluable to their learning experience. I would like to give them the ability to test samples for correct chemical composition of salt water and see salt water plants alive and thriving in an in class ocean environment. The opportunity to be hands on in the classroom will be a learning tool, for understanding the ocean. It will let them be stakeholders in their education of the ocean.
