Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are in need of a flexible seating workspace that will accommodate their need for adjustable workspaces. Our classroom has a mix of tables and chairs that are practical but lack comfort and flexibility when students need a quiet space to work, or a break from group seating.
Many of my students need options that accommodate a need for movement and offer flexibility when they need to use and maximize their learning accommodations.
One of these accommodations is centered on seating. When all seating options are the same, there is little room for students to be able to move closer to the teacher, closer to the board, or away from others when they are overstimulated and need some space to regulate and be able to resume their work.
The Lakeshore Flex-Space Comfy Seat Write & Wipe Desk Zone would allow for a flexible seating area where desks can be moved together for collaborative work or separated to accommodate individual learning needs. An added bonus is that it would also add a splash of color to our very simple classroom space! Your support would help make this a reality and would benefit my students now and for years to come!
