This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help us stock our Family Center and provide for the basic needs of our students. By providing supplies such as uniforms, shoes and snacks, our students will be set-up to have a great day of learning. Our community has suffered many financial and emotional losses since the onset of the pandemic leading to a lack of their basic needs.

The Family Center is a space we created to invite students and families to come and stock up on supplies without any questions asked.

Kids often need to change clothes because they get dirty at recess or they did not get laundry done at home. We see many kids wearing shoes that are ripped, dirty or too small. Having the resources to invite students into the Family Center and let them pick out a clean pair of shoes, or a dry shirt and pants will allow that student to feel comfortable throughout their day and spend their energy focusing on academics.

When students are hungry or personal needs are neglected, they can suffer from a lack of concentration that eventually leads to lowered academic success. We invite you to help us come alongside our students and ensure they have all the tools they need to be successful at school.
